Meet Our Leadership Team
Rob Miller
Sr. Solar Energy Advisor
Education:
Boise State University & San Jose State University – Bachelor of Arts, Communications. Northcentral University – Master of Science, Psychology
Professional Experience:
Rob entered the solar industry where he joined SunRev, Elite SunPower Dealer in early 2022, earning his Sr. Energy Advisor designation in just one year. In his first full calendar year, Rob led SunRev’s 2023 dealer sales efforts when he posted the highest number of sales in terms of the number of solar systems sold. Most impressively, he accomplished this feat while working alongside a team of seasoned solar industry veterans, most of whom had years more experience than he did at the time. Rob was promoted in early 2024 to Regional Sales Manager of SunRev, where he now represents Powur PBC, the fastest growing, top-10 solar company in America.
Prior to his career in the solar industry, Rob most notably spent 15 years in sales & management at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and he owned and operated 2 Subway Franchises as an entrepreneur for 8 years.
Hometown/Connection to Community:
Lived around the world (Germany, Belgium & Korea) as a military brat from childhood through adolescence. Relocated to Northern California (Novato, CA) in 1985. Rob currently resides in Biloxi, Mississippi, with his wife, Lisa, and their two dogs. His three children & one stepchild are grown.
Personal Interests:
Spending time with his dogs and wife in nature, fishing, boating, and enjoying the ocean. Played college football for Boise State University & professional football, including attending Training Camps with the San Francisco 49-ers and Los Angeles Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).
Why I chose to work in Solar and do what I do (in Rob’s words):
“My deep interest in the solar “revolution” (inhering in SunRev’s name) arose primarily because I believe in consumer choice. I think that the big utilities wield too much power over their customers, so alternative energy sources help give consumers their “power” back (no pun intended!). Coupled with the obvious positive environmental implications, solar energy offers consumers an affordable alternative to the monopolistic utilities and their ever-increasing energy costs and record profits.”
Scott M. Aronson
CEO / Managing Director / Sr. Solar Energy Advisor
Education:
University of California, Berkeley – Haas School of Business – Bachelor of Science, Business Administration
Professional Experience:
Scott has worked in the solar industry for nearly a decade, having focused on the residential sector, and representing such brands as SolarCity, Tesla, SunPower, and Powur PBC. He began his solar career in 2017 at SolarCity, which was acquired soon thereafter by Tesla. Scott thrived within the fast-paced, technology-driven environment at Tesla, where he received rigorous photovoltaic and energy storage solar training. He advised more than a thousand homeowners with their transition to solar energy and was a stand-out performer throughout his tenure.
In 2019, during a period of upheaval in Tesla’s energy division, Scott was recruited by SunPower Corporation to join forces with the world’s premier solar brand as an authorized Dealer, selling best-in-class solar systems. Thus, SunRev was born in 2019, founded by Scott (CEO) and his wife, Talin (CFO), and rose quickly to prominence in SunPower’s dealer network when it was promoted to the coveted ‘Elite’ Dealer status in less than one year of operation. For its size and scope, SunRev remained one of SunPower’s top performing residential solar dealers in the nation for 5 years running.
In mid-2024, SunRev joined Powur PBC, a top-10 and fastest growing solar company in the U.S., as Enterprise Dealer, its highest designation.
Prior to entering the solar industry, Scott dedicated nearly 20 years of his professional career to steadfastly protecting consumers in his capacity at the Better Business Bureau, where he served executively as Vice President.
Hometown/Connection to the Community:
Scott was born & raised in Southern California and spent most of his life in the northwest Los Angeles area. He lived also in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly a decade and currently resides in Las Vegas, NV, with his wife, Talin (SunRev’s CFO & Co-founder), mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and house full of rescue animals.
Personal Interests:
Cinema, hiking, cycling, spending time with his family and their 10 ‘fur babies’ at home, church activities, and homeless outreach. Played college football for Los Angeles Pierce College in 1988, and professional football, including 5 seasons in the minor-leagues, the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams Pre-Season Training Camp in 1994, Canadian Football League (CFL) signee in 1996, and Xtreme Football League (XFL) signee in 2000—as a free-agent punter and holder.
Why I chose to work in Solar and do what I do (in Scott’s words):
“I was drawn to residential solar in 2010 when a colleague at the BBB showed off his rooftop solar system to me at a holiday BBQ. When I saw that his meter was spinning backward as his solar system was exporting excess solar production to the grid, I became hooked! Just six years later, I was working as an Energy Advisor for one of the nation’s top solar companies where I immersed myself in learning and absorbing as much as I could about the solar industry, including its many complexities and nuances.
My initial motivation was to help as many homeowners as possible save on their energy costs by switching to less-expensive solar energy. But I learned quickly that homeowners are at a major disadvantage when shopping for solar, as they are often largely unaware of the scams and unscrupulous operators that abound in the solar industry, seeking to exploit them. Further, I saw many large solar companies pursuing only their own best interests, employing ill-trained, and even incompetent salespeople that made glaring mistakes that resulted in bad outcomes for customers.
I’ve since made it my mission, drawing from my consumer-protection background and training, to level the solar “playing field” by developing perhaps the most transparent solar consultation process in existence. SunRev offers comprehensive, step-by-step consultations that first seek to discover what’s most important to our customers, including the goals that they hope to achieve. We then delve into several major aspects of the solar transition that most solar operators omit from their presentations, and we reveal the most common industry tactics and informational distortions that predatory, self-serving solar salespeople use every day to manipulate unsuspecting homeowners.
I take great pride working every day in educating customers on how to navigate the convoluted solar landscape so that they’re equipped to make the most informed decision possible in going solar. Doing the right thing not only feels good, but it’s also good business, as evidenced by our stellar reviews from exceedingly happy customers!”

From signing to designing to installing the people at SunRev were by our side. I know SunRev isn’t the only one and may not be the cheapest, but it has the best warranty and isn’t it better to have everything under one roof?
